Common Questions

Many parents/students have questions about tutoring. Below are some of the most commonly asked questions and my answers to them.

Q: What if my kid is not an Edgerton student?

A: That is perfectly ok! I named Edgerton Math Tutoring after my home town. I will happily tutor students from any school district.

Q: Is one session enough to improve my kid's grades?

A: Maybe on one or two assignments, but in the long term, no. To see meaningful grade improvements, students need continuous practice and reinforcement. Think of someone starting weight training. One workout is not enough to get them into shape. The same is true for learning math.

Q: Can my kid and his/her friends be tutored together?

A: Absolutely, as long as the students are all in the same class. Up to three students can be signed up for the same session.

Q: What if I'm not satisfied with the first session?

A: I have a refund policy for the first session only. If you are dissatisfied with the first session, then you can tell me and you will receive a full refund. However, this refund is not available after a second session is booked.
